VogaCloset casual look.

today is one of those " I have so much things to do" kind of days, and obviously for days like this you need a very comfortable outfit. and as my new favourite online shopping website has become VogaCloset. I did some autumn online shopping for uni. This is what I wore from my Vogacloset parcel to stay comfortable.

P.s. they also have a cash on delivery service to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Jordan. they also offer Visa payment methods to the rest of the GCC region.

university inspirational outfits.

its September, the begging of a new level and academic year. firstly lets talk about bags. for uni and practicality I recommend tote bags as they look feminine hold a lot and don't break your arm because they just sit on the shoulder. or there the bags with a shoulder strap there awesome to they can be hand held and have a shoulder strap when your tired of holding the bag. however make sure the strap is NOT chain that will kill! below there is a couple of my favourite bags for collage, which I find so very comfortable.

my personal favourite is the Longchamp tote. I have two in different colours I find them so comfy and light I even use them when I travel because their so compact and light. and also there not expensive therefore I wouldn't feel bad when I put it on the floor in class and it getting dirty. also if it does get dirty I can just chuck it in the washing machine and it would come out spotless.

Anyways talking about colours. the main colours you will need is a tan, beige, black, grey and navy. they suit absolutely everything. especially when your thinking on buying a more expensive bag go for a colour that would match with everything for example black or tan.

okay now lets get talking outfits. I see this a lot when I visit Arab countries. dressing up over the top to university or collage. I'm totally against that! your going to learn you have to be comfortable and look formal its like work. keep it formal and simple. for example sequins, to much embroidery, lace anything evening-ish keep it or the evening. and talking shoes, I prefer flats for collage they look smart comfortable which wont last in blister unless there new tight shoes haha. But I would keep away from stilettoes defiantly if talking heels, wedges are good.  arm candy? a watch a simple bracelet is great, one SIMPLE band ring if you want too. here is a couple of inspirational outfits.

I hope you found this useful ladies, any other blog post requests let me know in the comments, instgram direct message or by email and I will hopefully do it! and good luck in collage ;)

Some exclusive illamasqua!

The other day I received Illamasqua’s International Season collection exclusive to Selfridges. Illamasqua is a British make up brand. So I tried out the exclusive products and to be honest I was very impressed! Here they are...

This is a Brow gel, I found this very useful as the colour looks so natural so it's perfect for everyday use without the need of full make up. Also it's a really light gel meaning it's easy to apply which is also the reason why it makes it look natural.

The sculpting powder duo also known as a contouring pallet. It's matte and powdery which makes it light on the skin if your like me a person that doesn't like a lot of make up on your face yet you want to out line your features then this is perfect for you!
This is a  Highlighter great for final finish to outline those cheek bones!

Then this is my favourite out of the collection! The lipstick is so perfect for daily use it moisturises the lips yet gives a nude pink matte finish to your lips, my favourite lipstick so far!

You can find all the above products at their counters in selfridges London

Feel free to check out other amazing products they provide on their website and instagram page:

Eid alfter 2014

Its that time of the year again, the end of Ramadan! and its Eid the time where everyone dresses up from the new born to the elderly. everyone gets in spirit. so I went shopping before Ramadan in hope in finding that perfect dress or skirt (something I don't usually wear around the year) but I found a pair of blue Manolo blahnik that I fell in love with and decided to base my whole outfit around so ordered them and bought a blue statement necklace that matched! and after finding no suitable clothes I worked on my designing skills and designed my own Eid dress. got fabric and took it to the tailors. BUT THEN....3 days before Eid my Manolo blahnik arrived and they were so tight! ( heartbroken moment ) so I ended up getting a plain pair of royal blue shoes from ALDO. And  here is the final look after all that drama....

The London tourist guide

Its summer holiday and many of my readers have decided to come London to explore a completely different part o the world. so to help get the most o your trip to London I decided to help with a couple of new places you in visit in London, and also cover other parts of your trip to London such as your transport and accommodation. I will be covering each area with great places you can visit. the first ones in the list will be my most recommended places.

Walks: the best part o London is the night time walks in the cold breeze weather, or simply morning walks with beautiful sights. here is a couple of places I recommend...
  • Queens walk
  • Jubilee walk
  • Knightsbridge
  • London bridge
  • Piccadilly circus
  • Trafalgar square
  • Leicester square
Shopping- probably the main reason you decided to come London
  • Covent garden - its also a great place for just walking
  • Oxford street
  • Savile row - High end designers
  • Bonds street & Mayfair - High end designers
  • Westfield's London - closed shopping mall with restaurants perfect for the rainy British weather, also has 'the village' with some high end designer shops.
  • Knightsbridge (Brompton road) -  also a lovely place for just a walk
  • Canary Warf
  • Kings road
Outlet shopping places : Outlets are shops that sale the past collection for a lower price
  • Bicester village - most one I would recommend if your looking for high end designers, its outside London however you can take a couch/ bus  straight there or by train. 2 hours from London.
  • Swindon - also outside London has more of the casual wear shops and less of the high end designers.
  • London designer outlet - Open roof, not very much o high end designers . most are high street brands such as H&M and Marks and spencer
Family day out / Museums :
  • Thorpe park : theme park for both the older and children.
  • London dungeon: Not for kids
  • London Thames  river cruise
  • Madame Tussauds - seeing wax celebrities perfect for your social networking posts.
  • London theatres : watch a theatre play, my recommendations 'Wicked' & 'Oliver twist'!
  • Bank of England museum
  • Longleat safari park: drive thru and see the wild animals

London from  above: for photography or just a beautiful view and experience
  • The shard - Tallest building in London
  • London helicopter tour - book in advance online
  • London eye

Transport:

Buses and trains: check the closest train station to your destination and check which line takes you there. I recommend you take a zip oyster card ( you can top it up at any train station and some corner shops) its cheaper and saves you the hassle of buying a ticket every time. you top it up and tap it every time you enter the bus or train station.

Black cabs: black cabs are London's trade mark very spacious and the total cost depends on how long it takes the driver to get you there, so with traffic you'll be paying double.

Mini cab: If your a family or simply cant be bothered for the hassle of  public transport you can arrange a mini cab to drop you and pick you up from a your location, the prices are fixed and is calculated  according to the location you want to go to and number of passengers. ( cheaper then black cabs)
Here is a number of a mini cab I recommend for future reservations:  Abdullah  +44 7706305599

Restaurants:

  • Tinseltown - you must try out their deserts! ( all halal)
  • Nandos - ( Portuguese) only SOME of their branches are Halal such as high street Kensington and park royal
  • The meat and wine co. - amazing steak! they offer a Halal menu. However NOT  ALL IS HALAL.
  • Maroush -  (Lebanese) all Halal
  • Chutney Mary -(Indian) all halal
  • Gourment burger kitchen - grilled chicken isn't Halal
  • Levant - Lebanese, all halal

And I guess I have covered it all choosing the best places in London, I hope you all enjoy your stay!

Authentic vs fake Hermes kelly

As most of my followers know im huge fan of hermes, i got a few requests on how to identify a real Hermes. As we all know the fake market has rapidly grown and fooled many buyers in saying their products are authentic when they are really not. So to avoid this scenario ive decided to help you buyers on telling the diffrnece and not getting deceived.

Step 1:
date codes: Always check the date stamp located under the strap, and make sure that the date on the strap is consistant with what the seller is presenting. Hermes uses letters in alphapbetical order to date the bags. The list  shows the year made, and the letter that would be stamped on the bag based on that year. At the top of every list (below) is the shape that the letter would be framed inside:

Here is an example...my bag is made in 2008 because it has a L in a squre.

Step 2:
Stitching: Hermes stitch lines should be flawless, as every Hermes bag is hand made and hand sewn. There should not be any out of place stitches, out of order, crooked seams or irregular stitch patterns on an authentic Hermes handbag. When inspecting a Hermes handbag, follow the stitch lines carefully with your finger and look for any crooked or out of order stitches within the seam line. Any indication of sloppy stitching is an automatic red flag to a fake. As fakes are made with a sewing machine which leads to out of place stitches.

Here is an example of a out of place stitiching...

Step 3:
Hermes Hardware: Authentic Hermes hardware, or metal accents on their handbags should always be a genuine precious metal. Because of this, the metal on the handbags is heavier than a normal metal accent found on a less premium handbag brand. The use of precious metals also means that the metal on an authentic Hermes handbag will not tarnish. Always check the quality of the metal on the handbag, if it feels light and of low quality, then that should raise an automatic red flag.

Hermes metals:

  • 24K plated gold
  • Silver palladium
  • Ruthenium [Burnished]
  • Guilloche [Diamond cut pattern HW palladium]
Therefore a fake scratched gold hardware would have silver lines showing its not real gold.

Step 4:
Hermes zippers Below is an image of a Hermes H logo on a Kelly Zipper end: Note the color is consistant even under the spots that are slightly worn.

I hope this has covered it all and helped you.

Words of perfection 💖

For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.
